About the game
Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle is a tactical game that blends the Mario universe with the Rabbids one. Upon release the game has been highly praised not only for executing one of the best videogame crossovers, but also for revitalizing the tactical genre in a more streamlined and accessible way. To this day, the game is still the best selling third party game on Nintendo Switch.
My contribution
I had the amazing opportunity to join the team during the post launch phase of the game and to work on the Player vs Player title update.
One of my responsibilities in this update was balancing character presets while keeping them diverse and fun, iterating with feedbacks from playtest data and the team.
I also worked on the items available in the arenas, defining the bonuses they provide, together with spawning rules and overall logic.
